　ここまで、私たちは長い旅をしてきました。伊勢神宮の式年遷宮、サグラダファミリアの建設、ケルト文化の循環思想という三つの文化実践を通して、人類が「永遠」や「継承」をどのように追求してきたのかを見てきました。そして同時に、それらが抱える深刻な問題点や矛盾にも目を向けてきました。

We have come a long way so far. Through three cultural practices – the Shikinen Sengu ceremony at Ise Shrine, the construction of the Sagrada Familia, and the idea of ​​circulation in Celtic culture – we have seen how humanity has pursued “eternity” and “succession.” At the same time, we have also looked at the serious problems and contradictions these pursuits entail.

　この旅を通して、私が最も強く感じたのは、「完璧な文化実践など存在しない」という当たり前の、しかし重要な真実です。どんなに美しく、どんなに深遠な哲学を持つ文化であっても、それは必ず光と影の両面を持っています。

What I felt most strongly through this trip was this obvious yet important truth: there is no such thing as a perfect cultural practice. No matter how beautiful a culture is or how profound its philosophy, it always has both light and dark sides.

　重要なのは、「批判的に学ぶ」という姿勢です。盲目的に賛美するのでもなく、全面的に否定するのでもなく、その複雑さと多層性を理解しながら、現代の文脈に合わせて再解釈し、適用していく。そのような柔軟で知的な態度こそが、真の文化理解に繋がるのではないでしょうか。

What’s important is a critical approach to learning. Neither blindly praising nor completely rejecting something, but understanding its complexity and multi-layered nature, reinterpreting it to fit the modern context, and applying it. I believe that such a flexible and intellectual attitude leads to true cultural understanding.

　式年遷宮の「定期的な更新」という概念は、現代の循環型経済やサステナビリティの議論に貴重な示唆を与えてくれます。ただし、それを盲目的に模倣するのではなく、現代の技術や価値観に合わせて修正し、適用する必要があります。

The concept of “periodic renewal” of Shikinen Sengu offers valuable insights for modern discussions of the circular economy and sustainability, but rather than being blindly imitated, it needs to be adapted and adapted to modern technologies and values.
